CREATION MUSEUM + ARK ENCOUNTER
Will you join us on a Creation Museum and Ark Encounter trip this summer?
The Bible comes to life at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter! These family-friendly attractions near Cincinnati explore creation science with stunning exhibits, dinosaur bones, fossils, botanical gardens, a planetarium, zoo, zip line course, and more. This breathe taking experience will equip you to better defend your faith with a Biblical worldview of creation vs evolution.
Tentative dates: July 28 — Aug. 3, 2024

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
Day 1: Leave Pierre at 10:00 a.m. for LeClaire, IA (10 hours of travel). Spend the evening at the Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn Express along the shores of the Mississippi river. Continental breakfast.
Day 2: Leave LeClaire IA in the morning for Lawrenceburg, IN (8 hours of travel). Check in at motel and group dinner options to be determined.
Day 3: Tour Creation Museum
Day 4: Tour Creation Museum or Ark Encounter
Day 5: Tour Ark Encounter at Williamstown, KY
Day 6/7: Travel back to Pierre, SD
ESTIMATED COSTS:
Travel cost reimbursement - We will request a reimbursement of travel costs in the amount of $225 per person (payable to Faith Lutheran). Note: We are licensed as a "Not For Hire" motor coach and therefore cannot put together a typical travel package for profit. This request is a reimbursement/suggested donation for the trip travel costs. All other costs are on your own.
Three day bouncer pass - Regular prices are Adults $109.95, Seniors $99.95, Youth $59.95, Children under 11 are free. There is also a combo group rate at $90, $80, and $50 if we decided to stay just two days. More details to come. As a group, the church may have to pre-purchase these or at least make a deposit.
Lodging and Meals - Estimated at $800 each for individuals (or $500 ea. if sharing a room). Motels: We will make the group reservations for motel rooms but you will then book and adjust for your party, whether single, double, family, etc. Meals: While traveling, we will make stops every few hours, often at truck stops which will have fast food chains nearby. Breakfasts will most likely be continental at the motel. Lunches on your own at the event for the day. Evenings we could try to do group meals.

First come, first serve. Once we hit 40, we are full.
Please sign up or contact the church office by April 1st so we can begin to make group reservations. Deposits may be required.
You may invite others as friends and family of Faith Lutheran. After April 1, we will open it up to the public.
