RALLY DAY – SEPT. 9TH Start of Sunday School with a noon meal, games, and more!

Morning Adult Bible Studies

A Study of John – Pastor Rajek will walk through the book of John. Come and learn about the different ways that Jesus describes himself (the “I Am” statements) as well as the imagery that John uses to portray the world, Christians, and Jesus.

A Return to the Catechism – Pastor Handschke will walk through the Small Catechism. Refresh those memories from your confirmation days and see how the catechism crystalizes the teachings from God’s Word. You will also see how you can apply the teachings to your everyday decisions.

High School students – Annette Hill will investigate how to see our daily events through a Christian view. Come and discuss how your daily decisions are based on God’s Word.

Sunday Evenings

Adults – Selected Psalms. Marvin Schweigert will lead a study on the Psalms. The study starts on Sept 16 and ends on Nov 11. It takes place on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00PM. Please meet in the Library.

All Christians – “Every One His Witness” Every Christian is called to bear witness to Christ in their everyday life. This study will include a new study resource by LCMS which includes a video and workbook. The study will help equip and encourage the group to be confident in their role as disciples for our Lord. The study will include regular witnessing activities. This is the step you’ve been needing as you put faith into action to live Jesus’ words to “Go, make disciples of all nations” and to bring Jesus to a world lost and hopeless without Him.  This Biblestudy meets Sunday nights at 6:30 in the Young Conference room beginning Sept. 9th and lasting about 10 weeks. Contact Dennis or Carolyn Ryckman if interested.

Men – Fellowship time. Every first Monday of the month at 7:00PM (except Sept 10 since Sept 3 is Labor Day) gather for a time of devotion, fellowship, and snacks. Fellowship time includes an activity like dartball or bean bags. Those who are able can bring a snack.

Women – Waiting: A Study on Patience, Hope, & Trust. Led by Karen Lindbloom, the ladies will see how waiting on God is a necessary part of the Christian life. The study begins on Sept 25. Please meet at 10:00AM in Young’s Conference Room.

Adults – Lutheran Spirituality Series: Prayer – We Speak to God. Led by David Zuercher, this study will look at the Biblical basis for prayer as well as various models for prayer. The study will meet at 6:30PM, rotating to the homes of the participants. Contact David for the location of the first study: 222-8424.

High School students – Lutheran Youth Fellowship (LYF). Come to a time of fellowship and devotion. High school students can share their joys and burdens, form friendships with other students, and grow in their love of God. This is open to students from other congregations, so invite your friends to join you. We meet from 8:00-9:15PM for a game or activity followed by a devotion.
