March 31st is the final day for the food drive at Faith Lutheran, so if you have food donations, be sure to drop them off in the Narthex soon. You can either sort your donations in the boxes (they’re alphabetical) or just leave your bag of items on the floor and we’ll sort it. Monetary donations are also welcome. Checks may be made payable to PARS (short for Pierre Area Referral Service); write Food Pantry on the memo line. In conjunction with the Ardis Townsend Challenge to Fight Hunger, for every pound of food and every dollar donated to the Pierre/Ft. Pierre Food Pantry in March and April, local banks and credit unions will provide a percentage matching fund.
The food will be delivered to the Food Pantry on Friday, April 3rd. Volunteers are needed to help load up the food, haul it to the Food Pantry, and unload it there.
Due to the shortages at PARS, we made the big delivery already.
