Sunday Morning Worship - 5/6/2018
Friday, May 4, 2018
“Jesus is Lord.” This confession may be the simplest, while at the same time an essential creedal statement of His followers. To prioritize any other idea or emphasis is to divert attention from Jesus alone, who Himself is the Lord. The corrupt systems of this world, fueled by greed, lust, and power enforced by violence, threaten to overwhelm us. Jesus is preeminent because, empowered by the love of God, He alone has overcome the corrupt systems of this world through His incarnation, life, death, and resurrection. He overcame, and we overcome in Him—by faith. This faith is what opens people to receive God’s love, keep His commandments, and overcome the corrupt systems of this world ourselves. Jesus is victorious, and in Him, we overcome—by faith. Alleluia!
Please join us for Sunday worship at 8:20 AM or 11:00 AM. Pastor Cory J. Rajek's message is titled “Love Each Other” based on John 15:9-17.
