"Born That Way" Retreat
An overnight retreat for high school students from 6PM Friday, Jan 6 to 3PM Saturday, Jan 7. When it comes to sex and related topics, our teens are overwhelmed and hearing very different messages from the Church and the culture. Come and hear from Pastor Joel Shaltanis of Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Plano, TX as we take a very practical look at why God's Word says what it does about the proper role and place of sex (within a marriage) and why it says it (God really wants you to be blessed.) We will also consider and answer the many lies that are told surrounding homosexuality and how we can speak the truth in love by sharing what Scripture teaches on the subject as well as offering some helpful and compassionate ways of thinking about a temptation most of us do not experience and cannot fully understand.
