Sunday Morning Worship - 01/07/2018

Friday, January 5, 2018

Jesus began His work for our salvation when He became man at Christmas. He began His active work shedding the first drops of redeeming blood at His circumcision. Now He takes His place alongside all mankind as He stands in the Jordan River. At His Baptism, He receives the Holy Spirit, and a voice from heaven declares, “You are My beloved Son.” Beginning now, our Lord lives for us sinless under the Law of God as He does all the way to His ultimate work of deliverance, shedding His blood on the cross. We take comfort that our Savior is with us, right alongside, with His Word and Spirit to enable us to live holy lives by faith and with the boldness of the cross, following Him. Our Baptism is for us the beginning of the new, eternal life that unites us with God both now and forever.

Please join us for Sunday worship at 8:20 AM or 11:00 AM.  Pastor Joshua Baumann's message is titled “Beloved!” based on Mark 1:11.

Sunday New Years Eve Worship

Saturday, December 30, 2017

Not only has the Lord come to a manger in Bethlehem, but now He has also come to His own temple in Jerusalem. The building that itself was to be a sign of God’s presence among His people now becomes the very place where Jesus is presented to the Lord. Promised for centuries, salvation has come, and all nations shall see the glory of the Lord. As Simeon beholds this glory in the face of Jesus Christ, he embraces redemption in his arms. Through the Word you will hear and the Supper you will receive today, you, too, will embrace Christ and His saving work. Sing of His glory! God has come to you!

Please join us for Sunday worship at 8:20 AM or 11:00 AM.  Pastor Cory J. Rajek's message is titled “Seeing the Faithfulness of God” based on Luke 2:21.

Sunday's bulletin can be found at this Bulletins Link.

Christmas Worship Services - 2017

Thursday, December 21, 2017

“Glory to God in the highest!” The expression of praise by the heavenly host on the night when Jesus was born into our world has echoed through the ages. As we gather for this most special day, we find joy in repeating the words of God’s heavenly messengers. The angels proclaimed a message of peace and good will, a word from God that was appearing in the Word made flesh— the baby Jesus born to bring the light of redemption to a people on earth lost in darkness. “Gloria in excelsis Deo!” Whether we are singing in English or Latin or some other language, the message of the words is what matters. We worship our Lord and rejoice in the glory of Christmas!

Come join us Christmas Eve at 5:00 pm or 7:30 pm and again Christmas Day at 9:00 am.

Bulletins for the worship services can be found at this Bulletins Link.

Sunday Morning Worship - 12/17/2017

Saturday, December 16, 2017

As we light the candles of our Advent wreath this morning you’ll notice that the color of the candle is pink. Pink is a color of joy. In fact, this Third Sunday in Advent is commonly referred to as “Rejoice Sunday.” But don’t confuse the joy we celebrate this Advent with a passing happiness. No, the joy we have this Advent is greater. It lasts always. That’s what today’s Epistle assures us when Paul writes, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18). Only in Jesus, the coming Savior, can we rejoice in good times and bad times, busy times and quiet times, sick times and healthy times. In Christ, we rejoice always!

Please join us for Sunday worship at 8:20 AM or 11:00 AM.  Pastor Joshua Baumann's message is titled “Good News From God” based on Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11.

Sunday's bulletin can be found at this Bulletins Link.

Sunday Morning Worship - 12/10/2017

Friday, December 8, 2017

Christmas is fast approaching. Are you ready? This time of year, our to-do lists grow in length: decorations, food, gifts, shopping, parties, and more. As we check each item off the list, we convince ourselves that we are more prepared to celebrate Christmas. Today, however, we encounter John the Baptizer in the Gospel. John calls us to prepare for our Savior’s coming in a different way, a more significant way. John calls us to repent. Repentance is more than just something to check off our to-do list. It’s a change of heart that the Holy Spirit brings about. Look to the Lord this Advent for the repentance and forgiveness He gives as we prepare for His Son’s coming. That’s how to be truly ready for Christmas.

Please join us for Sunday worship at 8:20 AM.  Pastor Joshua Baumann's message is titled “Prepare the Way” based on Mark 1:2-3.  Please join us at 9:45 AM for the younger children's Christmas program and at 11:00 AM for the older children's Christmas program.
